My name is Julia Belluz, and I’m a health reporter currently at work on a book about nutrition, metabolism, and obesity science for Avery/Penguin (US) and Headline/Hachette (UK).
Before a long stint as Vox’s senior health correspondent, I was a Knight Science Journalism fellow at MIT. My writing has appeared in a range of international publications, including the BMJ, the Chicago Tribune, the Economist and Economist's Intelligent Life magazine, the Globe and Mail, the LA Times, Maclean’s, the National Post, the New York Times, ProPublica, Slate, and the Times of London.
